US B1/B2 Visa for the citizens of Armenia
What is a US B1/B2 Visa?
A US B1/B2 visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows citizens of Armenia to travel to the United States for business or pleasure. The visa allows travelers to stay in the US for up to six months at a time. It also allows them to engage in certain activities such as attending conferences, conducting business meetings, and visiting family members.
The US B1/B2 visa is valid for 10 years from the date of issue and can be renewed if necessary. However, it does not allow travelers to work or study in the United States. For those activities, they must obtain a different type of visa.
How to Apply for a US B1/B2 Visa
Applying for a US B1/B2 visa requires several steps. First, applicants must fill out an online application form and pay the applicable fee. They must then schedule an interview at their nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate and submit all required documents including passport photos, proof of financial support, and evidence of ties to Armenia such as employment records or bank statements.
Once the application has been submitted, applicants will receive an email notification with instructions on how to complete their biometric enrollment appointment at their local U.S. Embassy or Consulate. After this step is completed, applicants will be notified by mail when their visa has been approved or denied.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit several documents when applying for a US B1/B2 visa including:
- Passport: A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining.
- Application Form: A completed DS-160 form.
- Photos: Two recent passport-sized photographs.
- Proof of Financial Support: Evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses while in the United States.
- Evidence of Ties to Armenia: Employment records, bank statements, etc.
Applicants may also be asked to provide additional documents depending on their individual circumstances such as proof of medical insurance coverage or invitation letters from family members or friends in the United States.
USA ESTA
In addition to applying for a US B1/B2 visa, citizens of Armenia may also be eligible for the USA ESTA program which allows them to travel to the United States without having to apply for a traditional visa. The USA ESTA program is available only for short stays (up to 90 days) and requires travelers to register online before traveling using USA ESTA.
