Types of Visas
Oman offers several types of visas for visitors, depending on the purpose of your visit. Tourist visas are available for those who wish to explore the country’s attractions, while business visas are available for those travelling for work-related purposes. There are also student visas and transit visas available.
Tourist visa: This type of visa is valid for up to 30 days and can be extended once for an additional 30 days. It is suitable for those who want to explore Oman’s attractions and take part in activities such as sightseeing, shopping and dining out.
How to Apply
The process of applying for an Oman visa is relatively straightforward. You can apply online through Oman eVisa, or you can apply in person at an Omani embassy or consulate.
Online application: Applying online is the quickest and most convenient way to get your visa. All you need to do is fill out the online form with your personal details, passport information and travel plans, then submit it along with the required documents.
Required Documents
When applying for an Oman visa, you will need to provide certain documents in order to be approved. These include a valid passport, two recent passport-sized photographs, proof of accommodation in Oman and proof of sufficient funds.
Proof of accommodation: This could be a hotel reservation or a letter from a host in Oman confirming that they will provide accommodation during your stay.
Processing Time
Once your application has been submitted, it usually takes between 3-5 working days for it to be processed and approved by the authorities.
