Overview
The Republic of Zambia is located in Southern Africa and is bordered by eight countries, including Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo. UK citizens are required to obtain a visa in order to enter Zambia. The type of visa required depends on the purpose of your visit and the length of your stay. There are several types of visas available, including tourist visas, business visas and transit visas.
Types of Visas
Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days and allow visitors to explore the country’s attractions and take part in recreational activities. Business visas are valid for up to 30 days and allow visitors to attend meetings or conferences in Zambia.
Transit visas are valid for up to 48 hours and allow visitors who are travelling through Zambia en route to another destination to remain in the country during their transit period.
Requirements
All applicants must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of entry into Zambia.
In addition, applicants must provide proof of sufficient funds for their stay in Zambia, proof of onward travel arrangements and a letter from their employer or school confirming their leave of absence if they are travelling for business or educational purposes.

The application process is simple and straightforward; applicants must complete an online form with personal details such as name, address and passport information. Once the application has been submitted, it will be processed within 3-5 working days. Once approved, applicants will receive an email notification with their eVisa attached as a PDF document which must be presented upon arrival in Zambia.
