Types of Malawi Visas
Malawi offers several types of visas for volunteers, depending on the length and purpose of your stay. This type of visa is valid for up to one year and can be renewed annually.
If you are travelling to Malawi as part of an organized volunteer program, you may be eligible for a volunteer visa. This type of visa allows you to stay in the country for up to six months and can be extended if necessary.
Application Process
The application process for a Malawi visa is relatively straightforward. You will need to fill out an online application form and submit it along with supporting documents such as your passport, proof of financial support, and a letter from your sponsoring organization (if applicable). Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to pay the visa fee.
You can also apply for a Malawi eVisa, which is an electronic travel authorization that allows you to enter the country without having to apply for a traditional visa. The eVisa is valid for up to 90 days and can be applied for online.
Requirements
In order to apply for a Malawi visa, you must meet certain requirements. These include having a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining, proof of financial support, and proof of medical insurance coverage while in the country.
It is important to note that all visitors must have a return ticket or onward ticket when entering Malawi.
Processing Time
