Types of Visas
Uganda offers several types of visas for Nigerian citizens, including tourist, business, student and transit visas. The type of visa you need depends on the purpose of your trip. For example, if you are travelling to Uganda for business purposes, you will need to apply for a business visa.
It is important to note that some visas may require additional documents or have specific eligibility criteria. For example, student visas require proof of enrolment in an educational institution in Uganda and transit visas require proof of onward travel.
Application Process
Nigerian citizens can apply for a Uganda visa online through the Uganda eVisa. The application process is simple and straightforward and can be completed in just a few minutes. All you need to do is fill out the online form with your personal details and passport information.
Once your application has been submitted, it will be processed by the Ugandan immigration authorities within 3-5 working days. Once approved, you will receive an email notification with your eVisa attached as a PDF document.
Validity Period
The validity period of a Uganda eVisa for Nigerian citizens is 90 days from the date of issue. This means that you must enter Uganda within 90 days from the date your eVisa was issued or it will expire.
It is important to note that the eVisa only allows you to stay in Uganda for up to 30 days from the date of entry.
Fees
The cost of a Uganda eVisa for Nigerian citizens is USD 100 per person (including all processing fees). Payment can be made using a credit or debit card at the time of application.
It is important to note that once payment has been made, it is non-refundable even if your application is rejected or denied.
