Uganda Visa Requirements for Irish Citizens
Irish citizens are required to obtain a visa in order to enter Uganda. The type of visa you will need depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in the country. Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days, while business visas are valid for up to 180 days. All visas must be applied for in advance and can be obtained from the Ugandan Embassy or Consulate in Ireland.
In order to apply for a Uganda visa, Irish citizens must submit the following documents: a valid passport, two recent passport-sized photographs, proof of sufficient funds, and a completed application form. Additional documents may be required depending on the purpose of your trip.
Uganda eVisa
Irish citizens can also apply for an eVisa, which is an electronic travel authorization that allows them to enter Uganda without having to apply for a traditional visa at an embassy or consulate. The eVisa is valid for up to 90 days and can be obtained online through the official Uganda eVisa website.
In order to apply for an eVisa, Irish citizens must submit their passport details, personal information, and payment information online. Once approved, they will receive their eVisa via email within 3-5 business days.
Validity Period
The validity period of a Uganda visa or eVisa depends on the type of visa issued and the purpose of your trip. Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days, while business visas are valid for up to 180 days.
It is important to note that all visas must be used within 6 months of issuance or they will expire.
Extension of Stay
If you wish to extend your stay in Uganda beyond the validity period of your visa or eVisa, you must apply for an extension at least one month before your current visa expires.
You must also provide evidence that you have sufficient funds available during your extended stay in Uganda.
