Egypt Visa Requirements
Portuguese citizens are eligible to apply for an Egypt e-Visa. The e-Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and allows a single entry into Egypt. To be eligible, applicants must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of arrival in Egypt.
In addition, applicants must have proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay in Egypt, as well as a return ticket or onward travel ticket. Applicants may also be required to provide evidence of accommodation during their stay in Egypt.
Egypt Visa Application Process
The application process for an Egypt e-Visa is simple and straightforward. Applicants can complete the online application form on the Egypt e-Visa website in just a few minutes. Once the application has been submitted, it will be processed within 3 business days.
Applicants will receive an email notification once their application has been approved. They will then need to print out the approved e-Visa and present it upon arrival in Egypt. It is important to note that applicants must enter Egypt within 90 days of the visa being issued.
Fees and Processing Times
The cost of an Egypt e-Visa for Portuguese citizens is €60 (or equivalent in other currencies). This fee is non-refundable, even if the application is rejected or not used.
The processing time for an e-Visa is usually 3 business days, however this may vary depending on the time of year and other factors such as public holidays.
Important Information
It is important to note that the e-Visa does not guarantee entry into Egypt. Upon arrival in Egypt, applicants may be asked to provide additional documents such as proof of accommodation or proof of sufficient funds.
It is also important to note that the e-Visa cannot be extended or renewed.
