What is an East Africa Visa?
An East Africa visa is a single-entry visa that allows visitors to travel between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. It is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and can be used for multiple entries into each country.
The East Africa visa is available to citizens of over 100 countries, including Bangladesh. It is important to note that the visa must be obtained before travelling, as it cannot be issued on arrival at any of the three countries’ airports.
Requirements for Obtaining a Uganda Visa
In order to obtain a Uganda visa, Bangladeshi citizens must meet certain requirements. These include having a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining, two recent passport-sized photographs and proof of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay in Uganda.
It is also necessary to have proof of onward travel from Uganda, such as flight tickets or hotel reservations. Additionally, applicants may be required to provide additional documents depending on their purpose of travel.
Application Process for a Uganda Visa
The application process for a Uganda visa is relatively straightforward and can be completed online via Uganda eVisa. Applicants must fill out an online form with personal details and passport information, upload the required documents and pay the applicable fee.
Once the application has been submitted, it will be processed within 3-5 working days and applicants will receive their visas via email. The visa must then be printed out and presented upon arrival in Uganda.
Validity of a Uganda Visa
A Uganda visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and allows multiple entries into the country during this period. However, visitors are only allowed to stay in the country for up to 45 days per entry.
It is important to note that visitors must leave Uganda before their visas expire or they may face fines or other penalties upon departure.
