What is a New Zealand Visitor Visa?
A New Zealand Visitor Visa is a type of travel document that allows citizens of Comoros to enter and stay in New Zealand for up to nine months. The visa is valid for multiple entries, meaning you can leave and re-enter the country during your stay.
The New Zealand Visitor Visa is also known as an eTA New Zealand, which stands for Electronic Travel Authority. This document is electronically linked to your passport, so there is no need to carry any physical documents with you when travelling.
Requirements for Obtaining a New Zealand Visitor Visa
In order to obtain a New Zealand Visitor Visa, citizens of Comoros must meet certain requirements. These include:
- A valid passport from Comoros with at least 6 months validity remaining.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in New Zealand.
- Proof of onward travel arrangements.
- No criminal record or history of immigration violations.
eTA New Zealand: Citizens of Comoros must also apply for an eTA New Zealand. This document must be obtained prior to travelling and is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
Application Process for a New Zealand Visitor Visa
The application process for a New Zealand Visitor Visa is relatively straightforward and can be completed online in just a few minutes. Applicants must fill out an online form with personal information such as name, date of birth, address, etc., as well as answer questions about their travel plans and purpose of visit.
Once the form has been submitted, applicants will receive an email confirming their application status within 24 hours. If approved, they will receive their eTA via email within 3 business days.
Fees for Obtaining a New Zealand Visitor Visa
Citizens of Comoros are required to pay a fee when applying for a New Zealand Visitor Visa. The fee varies depending on the length of stay and type of visa applied for but typically ranges from NZD$35 – NZD$150.
eTA New Zealand: There is also an additional fee associated with obtaining an eTA New Zealand. This fee is NZD$12 and must be paid at the time of application.
