Types of Visas
Armenia offers several types of visas for travelers, including tourist, business, transit, and diplomatic visas. Depending on your purpose of travel, you may need to apply for a specific type of visa. For example, if you are traveling to Armenia for business purposes, you will need to apply for a business visa.
In addition to the different types of visas available, there are also different categories within each type. For instance, a tourist visa can be single-entry or multiple-entry. A single-entry visa allows you to enter Armenia once and stay up to 90 days while a multiple-entry visa allows you to enter and exit Armenia multiple times during the validity period.
Documents Required
When applying for an Armenian visa, you will need to submit certain documents as part of your application. These documents include a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of entry into Armenia; two recent passport-sized photographs; proof of sufficient funds; and a completed application form.
In some cases, additional documents may be required such as an invitation letter from an Armenian citizen or organization or proof of medical insurance coverage. It is important that all documents are submitted in their original form and copies must be certified by a notary public.
Visa Processing Time
The processing time for an Armenian visa depends on the type of visa being applied for and the country where the application is being made. Generally speaking, it takes between 5-10 working days for applications made in person at an embassy or consulate and up to 15 working days for applications made online.
