What is USA ESTA?
USA ESTA stands for Electronic System for Travel Authorization and is an online application system developed by the US government to pre-screen travelers before they enter the country. It is required for all travelers from Visa Waiver Program countries who wish to visit the United States for business or pleasure.
The ESTA application must be completed and approved before traveling to the United States. The approval process usually takes less than 72 hours, but it is recommended to apply at least 72 hours before your departure date.
Who needs a USA ESTA?
All citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries are required to obtain an ESTA prior to traveling to the United States. The Visa Waiver Program currently includes 38 countries, including Australia, Japan, South Korea, and many European countries.

How long does a USA ESTA last?
An approved ESTA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. During this time, you can make multiple trips to the United States without having to reapply for an ESTA.
However, if your passport expires during this period, then you will need to reapply for an ESTA with your new passport.
How much does a USA ESTA cost?
The cost of an ESTA application is $14 USD per person. This fee must be paid when submitting your application and cannot be refunded if your application is denied.
It is important to note that there are many websites offering “expedited” or “premium” services for additional fees. These services are not necessary and may even be fraudulent, so it is best to avoid them and apply directly through the official website.
