Thailand visa for Taiwanese citizens (Visa on Arrival)
Requirements
Taiwanese citizens are eligible to apply for a Visa on Arrival when travelling to Thailand. The VOA is valid for 15 days and can be extended once for an additional 7 days. To be eligible, you must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry into Thailand, and proof of onward travel.
You must also have sufficient funds to cover your stay in Thailand, which is usually around 10,000 THB per person per month. Additionally, you must have a confirmed return ticket or an eVisa for Thailand eVisa.
Fees
The fee for a Visa on Arrival is 2,000 THB per person and must be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport in Thailand. It is important to note that this fee is non-refundable and cannot be paid in advance.
It is important to note that the Visa on Arrival is only available at certain airports in Thailand: Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok), Don Mueang International Airport (Bangkok), Chiang Mai International Airport, Phuket International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Krabi International Airport.
Application Process
To apply for a Visa on Arrival, you must fill out an application form at the airport upon arrival in Thailand. You will need to provide your passport details as well as proof of onward travel and sufficient funds to cover your stay in Thailand.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive a stamp in your passport which will allow you to stay in Thailand for up to 15 days.
