New Zealand visa for Indians: entry requirements
Types of Visas
There are several types of visas available for Indian citizens travelling to New Zealand, depending on the purpose of your trip. The most common type is the Visitor Visa, which allows you to stay in New Zealand for up to nine months. Other types include the Work Visa, which allows you to work in New Zealand, and the Student Visa, which allows you to study in New Zealand.
If you plan to stay in New Zealand for more than nine months, you may be eligible for a Residence Visa. This type of visa requires additional documentation and is subject to approval by Immigration New Zealand.
In order to apply for a visa, Indian citizens must meet certain entry requirements. These include providing proof of identity, such as a valid passport or national ID card, and proof of financial stability, such as bank statements or pay slips.
You must also provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in New Zealand, such as credit cards or traveller’s cheques. Additionally, if you are travelling with family members, they must also meet the entry requirements.
Indian citizens who wish to travel to New Zealand must apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA) before their arrival. The eTA is an online application that can be completed quickly and easily from any device with internet access.
Once approved, the eTA will be sent directly to your email address and will allow you to enter New Zealand without having to go through immigration control at the airport. For more information about applying for an eTA, please visit eTA New Zealand.
