Mexico Visa Requirements

Extending Your Stay
If you wish to extend your stay in Mexico beyond 180 days, you must apply for an extension at least 30 days before your current permit expires. Extensions can be applied for online via the Mexico FMM website or at any local immigration office.
It is important to note that extensions are granted at the discretion of the Mexican immigration authorities and cannot exceed 180 days per year.
Leaving Mexico
When leaving Mexico, it is important to ensure that your FMM has been cancelled by the immigration authorities. This can be done by submitting your passport and FMM form at any port of entry when departing from the country.
Failure to cancel your FMM may result in fines or other penalties upon re-entering Mexico.
