Mexico Visa for the citizens of Kazakhstan
Mexico Visa Requirements
Citizens of Kazakhstan must obtain a visa before travelling to Mexico. The type of visa required depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in Mexico. Generally, visitors from Kazakhstan are eligible for a tourist visa, which is valid for up to 180 days.
In order to apply for a Mexico visa, you must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining and two blank pages. You must also provide proof of sufficient funds, such as bank statements or credit card statements, and proof of accommodation in Mexico. Additionally, you may be asked to provide evidence of your return ticket or onward journey.
Mexico FMM Application Process
The application process for a Mexico visa is relatively straightforward. First, you must complete an online application form and submit it along with the required documents. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to pay the visa fee.
Once the payment has been made, you will receive an electronic Mexico FMM. This document must be presented upon arrival in Mexico and is valid for up to 180 days.
Visa Extension
If you wish to extend your stay in Mexico beyond 180 days, you must apply for an extension at least 30 days before your current visa expires. To do this, you must visit the nearest immigration office and submit an application form along with supporting documents.
You may also be required to pay an additional fee for the extension. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an updated electronic Mexico FMM, which will allow you to remain in Mexico for up to another 180 days.
Departure Tax
When leaving Mexico, all visitors are required to pay a departure tax known as ‘Derecho de Salida’ or ‘Taxa de Salida’. The amount payable depends on the length of stay in Mexico and can range from MXN $295 (approx USD $15) up to MXN $1,610 (approx USD $80). The tax can be paid at any airport in cash or by credit card.
It is important that all visitors adhere to Mexican immigration laws and regulations when entering and exiting the country. Failure to do so could result in fines or even deportation.
