Egypt Visa Requirements
Russian citizens are required to obtain a visa prior to travelling to Egypt. The type of visa you will need depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in Egypt. Tourist visas are valid for up to 30 days, while business visas can be valid for up to 90 days. All visas must be applied for in advance and can be obtained from the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in Russia.
In order to apply for an Egypt visa, Russian citizens must provide a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining, two recent passport-sized photographs, proof of accommodation in Egypt, proof of sufficient funds and a completed application form.
How To Apply For An Egypt Visa
The easiest way for Russian citizens to apply for an Egypt visa is online through Egypt e-Visa. This service allows applicants to fill out their application form online and submit it electronically. Once approved, the e-Visa will be sent directly to the applicant’s email address.
Alternatively, applicants can also apply for an Egypt visa by submitting their application form and supporting documents in person at the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in Russia.
Processing Time & Cost
The processing time for an Egypt visa is usually between 3-5 working days when applying online through Egypt e-Visa. The cost of an e-Visa is USD $25 per person.
When applying in person at the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in Russia, the processing time may take up to 10 working days and the cost may vary depending on the type of visa being applied for.
Entry Requirements
Once you have obtained your Egypt visa, there are certain entry requirements that must be met upon arrival in the country.
All visitors must present a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining and a printed copy of their approved e-Visa or visa sticker upon arrival at any port of entry into Egypt.
