Types of Visas
The Zimbabwean government offers several types of visas depending on your purpose of travel. These include tourist visas, business visas, student visas, and transit visas. Each type of visa has different requirements and fees associated with it.
Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days and allow travelers to explore the country and experience its culture. Business visas are valid for up to 30 days and allow travelers to conduct business activities in Zimbabwe. Student visas are valid for up to one year and allow students to study in Zimbabwe. Transit visas are valid for up to 48 hours and allow travelers to pass through Zimbabwe while en route to another destination.
Application Process
The application process for a Zimbabwean visa is relatively straightforward. Applicants must fill out an online application form and submit it along with supporting documents such as a passport-sized photograph, proof of travel insurance, and proof of sufficient funds.
Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. After that, they can track their application status online using Zimbabwe eVisa. Once approved, applicants will receive their visa via email.
Fees
The cost of a Zimbabwean visa varies depending on the type of visa being applied for and the length of stay in the country. Tourist visas cost $30 USD for single entry or $45 USD for multiple entries; business visas cost $50 USD; student visas cost $100 USD; and transit visas cost $20 USD.
It is important to note that all fees must be paid in US dollars only.
Validity
The validity period of a Zimbabwean visa depends on the type of visa being applied for and the length of stay in the country. Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days; business visas are valid for up to 30 days; student visas are valid for up to one year; and transit visas are valid for up to 48 hours.
It is important to note that all visas must be used within six months from the date of issue.
