When is Rio Carnival?
Rio Carnival takes place every year during the week leading up to Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent. This year, it will be held from Saturday 15th February until Tuesday 18th February 2020.
The festivities start with a huge parade on Sunday 16th February, where samba schools from all over Brazil compete against each other in an amazing display of colour and music. The parade continues into Monday 17th February, with the final day taking place on Tuesday 18th February.
What Do I Need to Travel?
