Turkey Visa Requirements
Sri Lankan citizens are required to obtain a visa in order to enter Turkey. The type of visa you will need depends on the purpose and duration of your stay. Tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days, while business visas are valid for up to 180 days. All visas must be applied for in advance and can be obtained from the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in Sri Lanka.
In order to apply for a visa, applicants must submit a completed application form, two passport-sized photographs, and their passport which must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Turkey. Additional documents may also be required depending on the type of visa being applied for.
Turkey eVisa
Sri Lankan citizens can now apply for an Turkey eVisa, which is an electronic travel authorization that allows travelers to enter Turkey without having to apply for a traditional visa at the embassy or consulate. The eVisa is valid for up to 90 days and can be used for tourism or business purposes.
The application process is quick and easy and can be completed online in just a few minutes. Applicants must provide basic personal information, passport details, and answer some security questions. Once approved, the eVisa will be sent directly to the applicant’s email address.
Processing Time
The processing time for a Turkey eVisa is usually within 24 hours, however it can take up to 72 hours during peak periods or if additional documents are required.
Once approved, applicants should print out their eVisa and present it upon arrival in Turkey along with their passport.
Fees
The cost of a Turkey eVisa is $60 USD. Payment can be made using a credit or debit card.
It is important to note that once an application has been submitted, no refunds will be given even if the application is rejected or cancelled.
