Types of Turkey Visas for Chinese Citizens
Chinese citizens can apply for two types of visas when travelling to Turkey: eVisa and Sticker Visa. An eVisa is an electronic travel authorization that allows travelers to enter and stay in Turkey for up to 90 days within 180 days. A Sticker Visa is a physical visa sticker that is placed in the traveler’s passport and allows them to stay in Turkey for up to 90 days within 180 days.
The type of visa you should apply for depends on your purpose of travel. If you are visiting Turkey as a tourist, then an eVisa is the best option as it is easier and faster to obtain than a Sticker Visa. However, if you are travelling to Turkey for business or work purposes, then you must apply for a Sticker Visa.
How to Apply for a Turkey Visa
Applying for a Turkish visa is easy and straightforward. All Chinese citizens must apply online through the official Turkey eVisa. The application process takes only a few minutes and requires basic personal information such as name, date of birth, passport details, etc.
Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive their visa via email within 3 business days. Applicants must print out their eVisa and present it at the port of entry upon arrival in Turkey.
Required Documents
When applying for a Turkish visa, Chinese citizens must submit the following documents:
- Valid passport: Must have at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of arrival in Turkey.
- Passport-sized photograph:
Must be taken within the last 6 months and meet all other photo requirements.
Note: Applicants may also be required to submit additional documents depending on their purpose of travel.
Fees and Processing Time
The cost of an eVisa is USD $60 per person (including processing fees). The processing time is usually 3 business days but can take up to 5 business days during peak season.
For Sticker Visas, applicants must pay an additional fee at the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in China upon submission of their application form.
