Types of Turkey Visas
Turkey offers several types of visas for Canadians, depending on the purpose of your visit. The most common type is the tourist visa, which allows you to stay in Turkey for up to 90 days. Other types include business visas, student visas, and work visas.
You can apply for a Turkey visa online through the official website of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alternatively, you can apply for a Turkey eVisa, which is an electronic travel authorization that allows you to enter Turkey without having to go through the traditional visa application process.
Documents Required
When applying for a Turkey visa, you will need to submit certain documents as part of your application. These include: a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining; two recent passport-sized photographs; proof of sufficient funds; and proof of accommodation in Turkey (such as hotel reservations). You may also be asked to provide additional documents depending on the type of visa you are applying for.
Note: All documents must be in English or Turkish, and must be valid at the time of entry into Turkey.
Application Process
The application process for a Turkey visa is relatively straightforward. First, you will need to fill out an online application form and submit it along with all required documents. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to pay the applicable fee.
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive your visa via email within 3-5 business days. You can then print out your visa and present it at immigration when entering Turkey.
Validity Period
The validity period of a Turkey visa depends on the type of visa you have applied for. Generally speaking, tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days from the date of issue, while business visas are valid for up to 180 days from the date of issue.
Note: It is important to note that your visa must be used within its validity period or it will become invalid.
