Types of Visas
Italian citizens can apply for a tourist visa, business visa, or transit visa. A tourist visa is valid for 30 days and allows you to stay in Sri Lanka for up to 30 days. A business visa is valid for 90 days and allows you to stay in Sri Lanka for up to 90 days. A transit visa is valid for 14 days and allows you to stay in Sri Lanka for up to 14 days.
You can also apply for a Sri Lanka eVisa. The eVisa is an electronic travel authorization that allows you to enter and stay in Sri Lanka for up to 30 days. It is available online through the Sri Lanka eVisa website.
Application Process
The application process for a Sri Lanka visa is simple and straightforward. You will need to fill out an online application form with your personal information, passport details, and travel plans. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email with your visa approval letter.
You will then need to print out the approval letter and present it at the port of entry when you arrive in Sri Lanka. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in order to be granted entry into the country.
