Sri Lanka Visa Requirements
Nepalese citizens are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Sri Lanka. The type of visa you will need depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in Sri Lanka. Tourist visas are valid for up to 30 days, while business visas are valid for up to 90 days. All visas must be applied for online through the Sri Lanka eVisa website.
In order to apply for a Sri Lanka visa, Nepalese citizens must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of entry into Sri Lanka. They must also have proof of sufficient funds and return tickets or onward travel tickets.
Application Process
The application process for a Sri Lanka visa is simple and straightforward. Applicants must fill out an online application form and submit it along with the required documents such as passport, proof of funds, and return tickets or onward travel tickets.
Once the application is submitted, applicants will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours with further instructions on how to pay the visa fee and complete the application process.
Processing Time
The processing time for a Sri Lanka visa is usually 3-5 working days, but can take longer depending on the volume of applications received by the embassy.
Once approved, applicants will receive their visa via email which they must print out and present upon arrival in Sri Lanka.
Validity Period
Tourist visas: Valid for up to 30 days from the date of issue.
Business visas: Valid for up to 90 days from the date of issue.
Note: Visas cannot be extended beyond their original validity period.
