Saudi Arabia Umrah Visa for Citizens from US Requirements
What is an Umrah Visa?
An Umrah Visa is a special type of visa that allows Muslims from around the world to perform religious pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. It is valid for 30 days and can be extended up to 90 days.
The Umrah Visa is different from the regular tourist visa, as it does not allow visitors to stay in the country for more than 90 days or engage in any other activities besides performing religious rituals.
Documents Required
US citizens applying for an Umrah Visa must submit the following documents:
- A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
- Proof of accommodation in Saudi Arabia
- Proof of return ticket
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Saudi Arabia
Note: All documents must be translated into Arabic and attested by the Saudi Embassy.
Visa Application Process
US citizens can apply for an Umrah Visa online through the official website of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Note: Saudi Arabia eVisa, which was introduced in 2019, is only available for business visas and not for Umrah Visas.

The cost of an Umrah Visa depends on the duration of your stay in Saudi Arabia and varies from one country to another.
For US citizens, the fee is usually around $200 USD, but it may vary depending on your nationality and other factors.
