Types of Oman Visa
Malaysian citizens can apply for several types of visas when travelling to Oman. These include tourist visas, business visas, transit visas, and student visas. Tourist visas are valid for up to 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. Business visas are valid for up to 90 days and can also be extended for an additional 90 days. Transit visas are valid for up to 48 hours and cannot be extended. Student visas are valid for up to one year and can be extended.
It is important to note that all types of Oman visa require a passport with at least six months validity from the date of entry into the country. Additionally, all applicants must have a return ticket or onward ticket.
Requirements
In order to apply for an Oman visa, Malaysian citizens must submit the following documents: a completed application form, two recent passport-sized photographs, a copy of their passport, proof of accommodation in Oman, and proof of sufficient funds.
Additionally, applicants may be required to provide additional documents such as a letter from their employer or school confirming their leave of absence or vacation dates, medical insurance coverage, and evidence of payment of visa fees.
Application Process
The application process for an Oman visa is relatively straightforward. Applicants must first complete the online application form on Oman eVisa. Once the form has been submitted, applicants will receive confirmation via email within three working days.
Once approved, applicants must print out their eVisa and present it upon arrival in Oman. It is important to note that eVisas are only valid for single entry into the country and must be used within three months from the date of issue.
Fees
The cost of an Oman visa varies depending on the type of visa applied for and the length of stay in the country. Tourist visas cost RM200 (USD50) while business visas cost RM400 (USD100). Transit visas cost RM100 (USD25) while student visas cost RM500 (USD125). All fees are payable online via credit card or PayPal.
It is important to note that these fees are non-refundable even if your application is rejected or your visa is not used.
