What is a New Zealand Visitor Visa?
A New Zealand visitor visa is a type of travel document that allows Jamaican citizens to enter and stay in New Zealand for up to nine months. The visa is valid for multiple entries, meaning you can leave and re-enter the country during your stay.
The purpose of the visa must be tourism, visiting family or friends, or business activities such as attending meetings or conferences. It does not allow you to work or study in New Zealand.
Requirements for a New Zealand Visitor Visa
To be eligible for a New Zealand visitor visa, Jamaican citizens must meet certain requirements, including:
- Valid passport: You must have a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining.
- Proof of funds: You must show proof that you have enough money to cover your expenses while in New Zealand.

eTA New Zealand
Jamaican citizens who wish to visit New Zealand can also apply for an eTA (Electronic Travel Authority). An eTA is an electronic travel document that allows visitors to enter and stay in the country for up to three months without having to apply for a traditional visa.
An eTA is easy to obtain – simply fill out an online form and submit it via the official website of Immigration New Zealand (eTA New Zealand) . Once approved, your eTA will be sent directly to your email address.
