What is a New Zealand Visa?
A New Zealand visa is an official document issued by the government of New Zealand that allows citizens of Sri Lanka to enter and stay in the country for a certain period of time. Depending on the type of visa, it can be used for tourism, business, study or work purposes.
The eTA New Zealand (Electronic Travel Authority) is an online application system that allows citizens of Sri Lanka to apply for a visa quickly and easily from anywhere in the world. It is valid for up to two years and can be used for multiple entries into New Zealand.
Visa Requirements
In order to apply for a New Zealand visa, citizens of Sri Lanka must meet certain requirements. These include having a valid passport, proof of sufficient funds, proof of accommodation, and a return ticket or onward travel plans.
Applicants must also provide evidence that they are in good health and have no criminal record. They may also be required to attend an interview at the nearest embassy or consulate.
Application Process
The application process for a New Zealand visa is relatively straightforward. Citizens of Sri Lanka can apply online through the eTA New Zealand. The application form requires personal information such as name, date of birth, address, passport details and contact information.
Applicants must also provide supporting documents such as proof of funds, accommodation and return ticket or onward travel plans. Once all the required documents have been submitted, applicants will receive their visa within 3-5 working days.
Fees
The fee for a New Zealand visa depends on the type of visa being applied for and how long it is valid for. Generally speaking, visas are valid for up to two years and cost around NZD$150 (approx USD$100).
