NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR THE CITIZENS OF CHINA
New Zealand Visa Requirements
Chinese citizens are required to obtain a visa before travelling to New Zealand. The type of visa you need depends on the purpose of your visit, such as tourism, business or study. You may also be eligible for an eTA New Zealand, which is an electronic travel authorization that allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days.
To apply for a visa, you must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as a valid passport, proof of financial support and evidence of your intended activities in New Zealand. You may also be asked to provide additional information or documents depending on your individual circumstances.
Visa Application Process
The first step in applying for a visa is to complete the online application form available on the Immigration New Zealand website. Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by an immigration officer who will decide whether or not to grant you a visa.
If your application is approved, you will receive an email notification with instructions on how to pay the applicable visa fee and collect your visa from the nearest New Zealand embassy or consulate.
Visa Processing Time
The processing time for a New Zealand visa varies depending on the type of visa you are applying for and the number of applications received by Immigration New Zealand at any given time.
In general, it takes around 10-15 working days for applications to be processed and approved. However, if additional information is required or if there are delays due to high volumes of applications, it can take longer.
eTA New Zealand
Chinese citizens who wish to visit New Zealand for short stays (up to 90 days) may be eligible for an eTA New Zealand. An eTA is an electronic travel authorization that allows travelers from certain countries to enter and stay in New Zealand without having to apply for a traditional visa.
To apply for an eTA, you must complete the online application form available on the Immigration New Zealand website and pay the applicable fee. Your application will then be reviewed by an immigration officer who will decide whether or not to grant you an eTA.
