Myanmar Visa Requirements
In order to obtain a Myanmar visa, Spanish citizens must meet certain requirements. These include having a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining and two blank pages, as well as providing proof of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay in Myanmar. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of onward or return travel arrangements.
It is important to note that the Myanmar government has recently implemented an electronic visa (eVisa) system for visitors from certain countries, including Spain. The eVisa is valid for 90 days and can be obtained online through the official Myanmar eVisa website.
Application Process
The application process for a Myanmar visa is relatively straightforward and can be completed online in just a few minutes. Applicants must fill out an online form with personal information such as name, date of birth, passport number, and contact details. They must also upload a digital copy of their passport photo and pay the applicable visa fee.
Once the application is submitted, it will be processed within 3-5 business days and applicants will receive an email notification when their visa has been approved. The approved eVisa will then be sent via email as a PDF document which must be printed out and presented upon arrival in Myanmar.
Validity Period
The eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, allowing travelers to stay in Myanmar for up to 28 days at a time during this period. It is important to note that travelers must enter Myanmar within 90 days of receiving their eVisa or it will become invalid.
Additionally, travelers should ensure that they have all necessary documents such as proof of onward or return travel arrangements when entering the country as they may be asked to present them at immigration.
Extension
If travelers wish to extend their stay beyond 28 days, they can do so by applying for an extension at any Immigration Office in Myanmar before their visa expires. Extensions are usually granted for up to 14 days but may vary depending on individual circumstances.
It is important to note that extensions cannot be applied for online and must be done in person at an Immigration Office in Myanmar.
