Mexico Visa for the citizens of Nicaragua
Mexico Visa Requirements
Citizens of Nicaragua must obtain a visa before travelling to Mexico. The type of visa required depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in Mexico. Generally, visitors are required to have a tourist visa, which is valid for up to 180 days.
In order to apply for a Mexico visa, you must submit the following documents: valid passport, proof of financial means, travel itinerary, and proof of accommodation. Additionally, you may be asked to provide additional documents depending on the purpose of your trip.
Mexico FMM
Upon arrival in Mexico, citizens of Nicaragua must obtain a Forma Migratoria Multiple (FMM). This document is issued by Mexican immigration authorities and allows visitors to stay in the country for up to 180 days.
The FMM can be obtained online at Mexico FMM. It is important that you fill out the form accurately and completely as any mistakes may result in delays or even denial of entry into Mexico.
Extending Your Stay
If you wish to extend your stay in Mexico beyond 180 days, you must apply for an extension at least 30 days before your current FMM expires. To do so, you must submit an application at the local immigration office along with supporting documents such as proof of employment or study.
It is important to note that extensions are not guaranteed and are subject to approval by Mexican immigration authorities.
Leaving Mexico
When leaving Mexico, it is important that you return your FMM form at the airport or border crossing where you entered the country. Failure to do so may result in fines or other penalties.
It is also important to note that if your FMM has expired while you are still in Mexico, you may be subject to fines or other penalties upon departure.
