MEXICO VISA FOR THE CITIZENS OF CHILE
Mexico Visa Requirements
Citizens of Chile are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Mexico. The type of visa you will need depends on the purpose and duration of your stay in Mexico. Generally, visitors from Chile must apply for a tourist visa, which is valid for up to 180 days.
In order to apply for a Mexico visa, Chilean citizens must submit the following documents: a valid passport, two recent passport-sized photographs, proof of financial means, and proof of accommodation in Mexico. It is also important to note that applicants may be asked to provide additional documents depending on their individual circumstances.
Mexico FMM
Once you have obtained your Mexico visa, you will need to register with the Mexican immigration authorities upon arrival in the country. This can be done by applying for an FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple). The FMM is an entry permit that allows foreign nationals to enter and stay in Mexico for up to 180 days.
The FMM can be obtained online at Mexico FMM. Applicants must fill out the form and pay the applicable fee before submitting it online.
Visa Extension
If you wish to extend your stay in Mexico beyond 180 days, you must apply for a visa extension. The application process is similar to that of applying for a new visa, and applicants must submit the same documents as they did when applying for their initial visa.
It is important to note that applications for visa extensions must be submitted at least 30 days before the expiration date of your current visa. Applications submitted after this date may be rejected.
Visa Fees
The cost of a Mexico visa varies depending on the type of visa and length of stay. Generally, visas are valid for up to 180 days and cost around $30 USD.
It is important to note that fees are subject to change without prior notice.
