What is the Green Card Lottery?

What Happens After I’m Selected?
If you are selected in the lottery, you will be invited to attend an interview at a US embassy or consulate in your home country. During this interview, you will be asked questions about your background and qualifications.
If your application is approved, you will receive a green card which allows you to live and work permanently in the United States. You may also be eligible for other benefits such as health care coverage and access to social services.
