Types of Visas
Egyptian citizens can apply for a tourist visa, business visa, or transit visa. A tourist visa is valid for up to 90 days and allows you to stay in Georgia for tourism purposes. A business visa is valid for up to one year and allows you to conduct business activities in Georgia. A transit visa is valid for up to five days and allows you to travel through Georgia while en route to another destination.
You can also apply for an e-Visa, which is an electronic version of the traditional paper visa. An e-Visa is valid for up to 90 days and can be obtained quickly and easily online at Georgia e-Visa.
Application Process
The application process for a Georgian visa depends on the type of visa you are applying for. For a tourist, business or transit visa, you must submit your application in person at the nearest Georgian embassy or consulate. You will need to provide documents such as your passport, proof of financial means, proof of accommodation, and other documents depending on the type of visa.
If you are applying for an e-Visa, you must complete the online application form and pay the applicable fee using a credit card or PayPal account. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email with your e-Visa attached.
Requirements
In order to obtain a Georgian visa, Egyptian citizens must meet certain requirements. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Georgia and have at least two blank pages available for stamps. You must also provide proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Georgia.
You may also be required to provide additional documents such as proof of medical insurance, proof of employment or school enrollment, or an invitation letter from someone in Georgia.
Processing Time
Tourist visas, business visas, and transit visas: The processing time varies depending on the embassy or consulate where you submit your application but typically takes between 5-10 working days.
E-Visas: The processing time is usually within 24 hours but can take up to 72 hours depending on the volume of applications received.
