Egypt Visa Policy: Learn More
Types of Visas
The Egypt visa policy allows citizens from certain countries to enter Egypt without a visa or with a visa on arrival. Citizens from other countries must obtain a visa before travelling to Egypt. There are two types of visas available: tourist visas and business visas.
Tourist visas are valid for up to three months and can be obtained either through an embassy or online via the Egypt e-Visa. Business visas are valid for up to six months and must be obtained through an embassy.
In order to obtain a visa, applicants must meet certain requirements. These include having a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining, proof of sufficient funds, and proof of onward travel arrangements.
Applicants may also need to provide additional documents such as a letter of invitation from an Egyptian sponsor or proof of accommodation in Egypt. It is important to check with the relevant embassy for specific requirements.
The cost of a visa varies depending on the type of visa and the length of stay. Tourist visas typically cost between $25-$60 USD, while business visas can cost up to $100 USD.
It is important to note that fees are subject to change without notice.
The processing time for a visa application depends on the type of visa and the embassy or consulate where it is being applied for. Generally, tourist visas take around 5-7 working days while business visas can take up to 10 working days.
It is advisable to apply for your visa well in advance of your intended travel date.
