Types of Visas
The type of visa you need depends on the purpose of your trip. If you are travelling to Canada for business or pleasure, you will need a temporary resident visa. This type of visa is valid for up to six months and allows you to stay in Canada for that period of time. If you are planning on staying longer than six months, you will need to apply for a permanent resident visa. This type of visa is valid for up to five years and allows you to stay in Canada indefinitely.

How to Apply
If you are applying for a temporary or permanent resident visa, you must submit an application form along with supporting documents such as a valid passport, proof of financial support, and any other documents required by the Canadian government. If you are applying for an eVisa, the process is much simpler. All you need to do is fill out an online application form and pay the applicable fee. Once your application has been approved, your eVisa will be sent directly to your email address.
Fees
The fees associated with applying for a Canadian visa vary depending on the type of visa and length of stay. For example, a single-entry temporary resident visa costs CAD$100 while a multiple-entry temporary resident visa costs CAD$150. The fee for an eVisa is CAD$7.
In addition to these fees, there may also be additional processing fees charged by IRCC or third-party service providers such as courier companies.
Processing Time
The processing time for Canadian visas varies depending on the type of visa and where it was applied from. Generally speaking, it takes between two weeks and two months for applications to be processed by IRCC.
For eVisas, applications are usually processed within 24 hours but can take up to 72 hours in some cases.
