Brazil Visa Requirements for Australians
Types of Visas
There are several types of visas available for Australians travelling to Brazil, depending on the purpose of your trip. These include tourist visas, business visas, student visas and transit visas. Each type of visa has different requirements and fees associated with it.
The most common type of visa is the tourist visa, which allows you to stay in Brazil for up to 90 days. To apply for this type of visa, you will need to provide proof of your travel plans, such as flight tickets or hotel reservations, as well as proof of sufficient funds for your stay in Brazil.
Documents Required
When applying for a Brazilian visa, you will need to provide certain documents in order to be approved. These include a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of entry into Brazil, two recent passport-sized photographs and a completed application form.
You may also be required to provide additional documents depending on the type of visa you are applying for. For example, if you are applying for a business visa, you may need to provide evidence of your business activities in Brazil or an invitation letter from a Brazilian company.
Application Process
Once you have gathered all the necessary documents, you can begin the application process by submitting them online or in person at a Brazilian embassy or consulate in Australia. The processing time can vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for and can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks.
If your application is successful, you will receive an eVisa, which must be presented upon arrival in Brazil. You can apply for an eVisa through eVisa Brazil.
Fees
The cost of a Brazilian visa varies depending on the type of visa and length of stay required. Generally speaking, tourist visas cost around $50 AUD while business visas cost around $100 AUD.
In addition to the visa fee, there may also be other costs associated with obtaining a Brazilian visa such as courier fees or medical insurance premiums.
